IN CHARACTER
CHARACTER: Lieutenant Commander Data
CANON: Star Trek: the Next Generation
AGE: 31
DESCRIPTION: Data is 5'10" tall and patterned on a human male with a slight build. He weighs approximately 100 kilograms in standard Earth gravity, has unusually pale and gold-flecked skin for a human, and bright yellow eyes. His hair is dark, short and always slicked back in place. Note: your character can definitely tell he's not human if that's something you want them to be able to notice, no need to ask! Data isn't trying to hide that he's an android, it just might not be instantly apparent to people who aren't familiar with the concept.

DEMEANOR: Data is reserved and soft spoken, which is a remarkable achievement of warmth for an android devoid of emotions. When speaking with biological lifeforms, Data engages his socialization subroutines to simulate appropriate emotive responses in his face, body, and micro-expressions of both, but he does not always match responses properly, which leads to Data sometimes appearing very awkward. His curiosity and naivety are also notable aspects of how he comes across to others after usually only a short amount of time speaking to him.

ABILITIES: Data is strong enough to stop an accelerating car with one hand, incredibly durable, and capable of repairing or replacing most of his body without issue. He is a mobile supercomputer platform capable of directly interfacing with most technology with a port, even alien technology, and he has a vast database of knowledge in his memory storage. His android body simulates the appearance of a human being accurately down to the ability to sweat, cry, and bleed, but he has no need for oxygen, water, food, or sleep. He's a standard issue science fiction android, basically.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Treating people as objects; disregarding the rights of others; reckless endangerment or deliberate harm of others

INTERACTIONS
MAGIC: Data is completely vulnerable to magic, although as an android it may not always work on him the same way. (i.e. it's unlikely that any magic that works on something like 'having a heart' or 'a soul' will affect Data)
MENTAL: Data has no mental presence for telepaths or empaths and cannot be affected by their powers unless mitigating circumstances apply somehow.
MIMICRY: Data is used to sharing his face with other people, no limits here except a note that effectively mimicking his surface appearance is definitely going to be easier than his internal structure.
INTIMACY: Data is fully functional (something apparently very important to the showrunners that we all know) and open to the possibility of exploring pair-bonding. I would not recommend trying the Data dating simulator unless your character's dream date is a visual novel strapped to a Roomba. (If that is their dream date, though, let's chat. I love mess.)
VIOLENCE: Data's survived having his head cut off enough times that I say, just go for it. Crunch him up like a paper ball and dunk him into a trash compactor if you want. He will always apply the minimum reactive force required in physical confrontations, so he's unlikely to seriously hurt someone else except in dire circumstances.
OTHER: Data is described as not having emotions by himself and others, which turns out to be a much more nuanced thing than that sounds like. Data does have beliefs, preferences, principles, the ability to form relationships with others, and conditioned responses based on experiences he's had.
